This is a little quilt top that I started while at Kaye England's school in March and finally finished up this afternoon.

Each little "block" is 1x3....sure wouldn't want to make a BIG quilt like this!!

Very nice! Did you sew on the machine or by hand and did you mean that each blocks pieces measuared 1x3 when cut and then sewn together to create the block? Thanks ..

I machine quilted it. You can't really see in the picture but I tried to give it a "special look" when I quilted it. Running down the middle edges of the green long blocks, I used one of my "special" stitches which was a little flower. In person, it kind of looks like lace -- in the pic, it looks likes crap (lol).

Each little block measured 1x3 cut and 1/2x 2 1/2 sewn....

Making a big quilt like this, even with that narrow strip (1") wouldn't be that difficult if you used a strip piecing technique.
Select sixteen different fabrics, cut into 1.5" strips ... press seams, cut into 3.5" sections, sew the sections together the length you want ...
    simple, eh?
That is a nice looking little quilt

Oh my kind of quilt! sewjoyce did you add it to the miniature virtual section? It's easy to do just click on the "Add this topic to a virtural section" phrase. Only the author of the post or Rhonda the mini coordinator can do this.

Joyce that is exquisite! I peered and peered to see the flowers but can only see them on the back. But I'm sure they're beautiful on the green sashing.

That is so pretty. I can't imagine all those little pieces of fabric. I don't have the patience. Yours is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
