Just a quick note to add to these great instructions, after you measure through the middle, (and both ends), average the three and then cut your border fabric. While you are attaching the borders, if you put the border fabric and quilt face to face, and sew with the border fabric on top, the natural tendency for the bottom fabric to be 'drawn up' will help make everything go together, and lie flat. I still bless the little old lady (I was a teenager then) who taught me this, every time I put a border on. I can't wait to see what you do for borders!

Thank you to those who encouraged me with this quilt top, and those especially who helped with the tips for the borders.. I don't do borders that easily.. not my most favorite part of finishing. I haven't gotten my brain around that part yet, for color, ect but I will photo it when I have.. might need to stand back from it for a week or two, until I " see " what I want to do with it.. As for the colors chosen, ALL from my scrap bins.. I don't have enough fabric right now to do anything " planned out".. but luckily, I love to hoard ( NOT that kind of hoarder!) my scraps, so this is what I ended up using.. Thanks again, friends!

I don't know how I missed this picture but i'm glad I see it! I love the way you used that blue fabric with the light bursts. It really gave your quilt an extra punch! Very good work :!:  :-D
