Default Molas

Hey Y'all!
A friend asked me to make some pillows from some mola pieces her mother gave her. Her mom is affiliated with a mission group who helps the Kuna Indian women who make these pieces. The Kuna people in habit the San Blas islands near Panama. All their stitching is by hand, and no two pieces are exactly alike. It is fantastic art!! The stitching on these pieces is exquisite!!! The pictures do not do it justice - but I thought I'd share with y'all.

Note - I'm just making these pieces into pillows. This is Not my work.

Enjoy!

I've always loved molas! I always want to buy some at quilt festival, but I'm never sure what to do with them.
