    Default Purse sized "professional tote"

I made the professional tote last fall--it was too big for me to use as a purse but I loved the fabric so went back and got enough more to make a smaller version. Just finished it this afternoon. It is still on the large size, but I will use it anyway. I made both of these on my featherweight and it really handled the heavy fabrics (all interfaced with batting) better than either of my computerized machines that broke down this week!

What a great downsizing! I've learned the bigger the purse/tote- the more "stuff" I fill it with!

Oh yes, I love those colors, too. Interesting how different machines work and those older original machines were built to last.

LOve your colors. I have made many of the professional totes. I would like to make it larger so that it would hold a cutting mat etc for classes. I haven't done it yet. I love how you shrunk it.

Both are beautiful, I like big purses. I carry too much stuff for a small purse.

How much did you shrink the pattern? I've made 3 of the big ones. Really like your smaller size

Great idea. I made one of the professional totes two years ago to take on a trip to England. The tote worked out really well, but on the way home I somehow allowed it to drag on the airport floor, and it ruined the bottom. I think it would be easier to make another one than to fix that one. (At least it happened on the way home, not on the way there.)
