There are cherries and apples, you don't have to pick just one.

Pam

Fab work as usual from you - love the colours used in this range kind of Retro & lively. Your daughter will be over the moon with the end result. Well Done.

Those sashing strips took forever to do! I didn't do them the easy way of doing long strips and then cutting them because some of the FQs weren't quite long enough to get even two 10 1/2" pieces across the width.

I need to piece the borders because if I did them the length of the fabric the apples are all off-set and it didn't look right.

I think I might give it to my daughter to take to the LQS near her we went to and see about getting it quilted. I just don't have the time to hand quilt another one.

This is really pretty. I love those colors, the black with the bright yellow and red. And I'm kind of an apple person so I really like the borders.

I really love this quilt so cheerful! You did a great job and am sure your daughter will love it, even if it isn't a purse :-)

Great job Pam! I love how you put this one together! Why don't you give machine quilting a try yourself? I know you can do it

Thanks all. It does look cheerful. But dang!! I just saw that the top row of borders is wrong!! So carefully laid everything out, looked it over and over, but I still managed to put a mistake in it!!

Aw well, no one is perfect. :-)

I thought about trying to machine quilt the baby quilt I just did but, decided not too. I tried it once and it was horrible, the stitching was just bad. I haven't tried it on my new machine and I would have to do a lot of practicing first.
