a group of friends and I got together and each chose two blocks for the year (there are 6 of us) and we are making a BOM quilt. I chose to make two blocks for each month because I want a larger quilt for our guest bed. Cannot wait to get it done!

I have two of the same florals you used. Who would have thought that seeing someone else's work with the same fabric I have would be so exciting! WooHoo!

thank you all for your kind comments. I was able to actually get anothe block done yesterday - will post it when I get it downloaded from camera. This is supposed to be a block of the month - but I'm anxious to get it done for our new guest room:)

The scrappy look is wonderful with those blocks! I like them better than the ones that I made with planned color schemes! Nice job on the sewing, too!!!!

Love your scrappy! Inspires me to make more quilts to have more scraps, so I can make more quilts.

Did ya ever think, that thirty years from now, folks will be looking at our quilts just like we look at moms and grandmas now and they will see some of the same fabrics we used; some of the original'30's, 40's, and 50's, some wacky and wild ones, Asian, Batiks, new patterns, old patterns made new, patterns that make no sense, and so on and so forth! Something to think about. How exciting to come across all these quilts. And what about 100 years from now? Wonder how many quilts will be around? Wonder how quilting will change 100 years from now? Hmmm
