Sandra,

Try picking up the easy dresden tool - it really simplifies the process. The angle uses 20 wedges per plate (though it has the pointed corners instead of the rounded).

for a regular dresden 20 plates is great but for a dresden kaleidoscope you need to have a wider blade so I like 10 blades as it gives a good amt of pattern to create the kaleidoscope effect.

Love the effects of fabric in this pattern. One can almost see the movement of the design if you scroll the mouse up and back really fast.
