How about putting a pretty fabric circle or yo-yo behind a 'plain' button to make it fancy.

These are really cute, multi-purpose. Like Jackie54, I'd like the pattern.

They are adorable. Giving applesauce in the apple bag was a wonderful idea. I make homemade peach butter with peaches from our trees . ... yep, have to find some peach fabric and steal your idea.

I've made six for six special people for the Holidays. Used a 12" square. Did two with the 10" square, but found that a bit too small. These are just the cutest and a perfect way to use up those stray pieces of fabric to large to toss but too small for much and a great use for the batting scraps.....makes a thoughtful gift holder. Thanks frenchfryqueen.....

The best place to get buttons is Walmart, they have large packages of assorted buttons.

They are so much fun. A fast and easy dress up for any little gift. I think putting a jar of jam or honey in one for a gift is a great idea.

I have a friend who loves sauerkraut and for her BD I did do it. I put a jar of great organic kraut in one for her and tied a bow around the lid. She loved it.
peace
