Thank you! We have a dear friend who is an executive chef at a local hotel. Through him, we've come to know his restaurant staff. So every Christmas I make them something. This year it's the mug rugs! LOL!

Those mug rugs are super cute. I know the recipients will enjoy their sweet little gift. I really like the fabrics you used. Just perfect for the season.

Love them all! When you do the binding, are you using the back fabric and bringing it to the front? If so, how did you do the corners? Thanks!

These are so pretty. I have been thinking of making mug rugs for my employees (13 of them plus 10 other people in my office). I just didn't want to hand bind that many. Did you machine or hand bind these? I have never machine bound anything. Would consider it after seeing your work. You have motivated me...possibly. Would love to read how you finished these. Thanks!

I did the binding like I do on my quilts. I have my 2 1/2" strip folded and machine stitch it to the front of the mug rugs. Then I bring it to the backside and do hand stitching. A few years ago I watched a Fons and Porter show where they showed how to do binding without a tool. The mug rugs are small but I was able to do the binding properly with their method. Here's a site that has something similar: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...D&&FORM=VDRVRV. I just did a search looking for "how to bind a quilt without a tool." Hope this helps!
