I'm glad you were able to take the blocks that obviously meant so much to your grandmother and create such a beautiful quilt from them. That's a beautiful way to remember her.

Thanks for the nice comments. They really mean alot.

GrannyW5, I just searched through ALL my pattern stash and could not find the pattern for the snowmen. If I remember correctly, it was a free flier from Hancock Fabrics that I picked up several years ago. I haven't done a search, but you might check their web site to see if any free patterns like this are available that way. I'm sorry I didn't keep it because even though I made a dozen, I did not make any for myself!

OMGoodness!!! Where do I start?! :-) Love the setting used for the GFG!! It's so different from other ones I've seen. Then there are those absolutely adorable snowmen!!!!! My mother would love those!!! Are they from a pattern or from your own design? Please share!!!

How great that you were able to find a green that went with your grandmother's blocks. It tied everything together so well. Now you have a beautiful memory and a beautiful quilt. The snowmen are darling.

I was thinking the same thing...that green from way back when, it a hard one to match...but you did an amazing job!
