She may not be my daughter but as I'm sure you are so much prouder than she is. She is beautiful and so is the quilt. Next thing you know she will be creating her own piece. It's so hard to try to type through tears of pride for the both of you. I would enter this in a show if I were you. I will not be surprised the day you post a photo of one of her own creations. I'm running out of Puffs.

As a church youth director, I have worked with an autistic child and I can feel a little bit of your joy. I can certainly see that quilting would be something that she might enjoy once she see the pattern and repetition of those patterns. Maybe she would like to help out fabric or the pattern for your next project.

Such a small thing can be such a giant leap. To have her respond to you and the quilt is huge! I hope you frame that fantastic photo so that you can always remember her first step into sharing the quilting world with you.

Nice quilt and the story actually brought me to tears. How wonderful that she took such an interest. Maybe she will be a future quilter, you never know. She looks very proud, as she should be. Congratulation Melissa on your first quilt!
