I only need to whip stitch the binding on this. But, I'm waiting until I'm laid up from my knee surgery. I'll need something to do, right?

This is for my son's second birthday. It's become a tradition that my kids get bedding with a quilt for their 'big kid' beds on their 2nd birthday.

I started quilting this yesterday, though the top has been done for months.

The kit didn't have enough material to make the size I wanted, so I added in the framed appliques of hammers and saws.

So boyish!! Great job. Best wishes on your knee surgery. Keep it up with ice on it to keep the swelling down.

 great idea! Where did you find the great fabric and do you mind if we copy your quilt for our little ones?
