Default MSQC churn dash pinwheel and donation quilts

This block was fun to do. Just wish it didn't have so many bias edges! LOL. I even starched the hectic out if with Best Press. I used 9 inch squares instead of the layer cake 10 inch and it came out to almost 11 inches square. It is laying funny, it is square!

The other pics are of donation quilts I'm working on. And the borders are OK, just the way they are laying on the carpet. Ready to go to my SIL.

Now back to my Dear Jane.

They are so cute, the three of them. I really like them.

The block should be alright pieced into straight grain sashing. A lot of Jenny's blocks have bias edges but they are so quick and easy, who can resist them? Great donation tops! The special focus fabrics will delight some little sports stars.

Nice work! And I like the donation quilts--your work gives me an idea for a quilt to replace my GS's baby quilt that is falling apart.

Tartan, I have lots of the sports fabric plus some in red that I have cut out. (For those times when I want to do aimless sewing, ie: straight lines! LOL!) I also have cars and dinosaurs. I think at one time I had 6 yards of each and am whittling it down. I make sure that I send duplicates to different places. Donation quilts are so much fun cause they take little time and are generally easy to sew. One can be done in a day.

Excellent donation quilts - boys often get shortchanged and your fabrics and color choices are great. And I vow I am going to do that MSQC pinwheel ...
