It's kind of hard to describe a mug rug to someone who doesn't quilt....but.....I gave the bird one to my Sis who is an avid birder..(my little granddog was inspecting it first) ..and the 2 blue "fluffs" one to my niece & the other her boyfriend. They all seemed very pleased with them.
