Here are a few of the mug rugs the kids in my kindergarten class made for their moms. I brought in my sewing machine and they were fascinated by it. I did the sewing but they had to turn it out and make the "quilt sandwich". It was fun to do and I think the moms will like them.

Great idea! The moms will treasure those. My mom loved the hot pad that I made in art class in the third grade(butterfly done in crayon). It finally was damaged about 50 yrs later!

Such a nice gift for mama. I used to like the hand print in plaster of paris, but this is even better. Love their little drawings.
