There is no pattern. I cut background fabric 8 1/2 x 10 1/2, backing the same and batting the same. I used scraps of warm and natural. I pulled scraps from my 2 inch bin, put fusable on them and fused in place. then I straight stitched around all the pieces. starting off the fabric, thru the block, and off another side. I turned in the middle and did it all which aways. really easy. you could blanket stitch each piece, but takes longer. for the binding I went to my 2 1/2 inch bin and found a color that matched. My favorites are with the black background. really makes the colors stand out. hope this helps.
