I used a thin batting and even pulled that apart. I thought that it should have something, but not much. I think an old towel in the middle might be just the right insert.

I have some of that coffee material left over from making my kitchen curtains. I know what I will be using it for now.

Oh those are just wonderful! Seem like a good size too, even to use as a coaster if need be.

I like that you just did decorative stitching around the edge instead of binding. How would someone put binding on such a small project?

You did great. Love the material you used too.
