the pattern is from this magazine. It's called Mums the Word. I just added to it to make a lap size to go in our RV. http://thequiltermag.com/issues/2011/november/. The back of the quilt was my own creation.

Is your 16 a sit down or frame? I just love my sit down as I can't stand for too long at a time in one go. It's a totally different process with the sit down though. I would be interested to hear which one this is. It's just beautiful quilting! You must be very proud!

Thank you for your encouragement! It's a sit down model I bought second hand just this past April. I had only just started trying to FMQ on my DSM and thought if I was really going to get into machine quilting I'd like a dedicated machine for it. Gave the SS16 a few test drives at some quilt shows last winter and started looking for a used one and got lucky. It's a frustrating learning curve, but I feel I'm starting to see the light, if you know what I mean. I still struggle with keeping the stitching smooth and even, especially in bigger motifs like the flowers in the 10" squares on this quilt. And inconsistency is my only consistency! But it's so addictive to keep trying! I didn't want to make the investment in a longarm set up, and thought this was a good compromise. If I can ever get the hang of the whole tension adjustment thing, I will be totally happy with the machine. That frustrates me too. Anyway, thanks again, and happy quilting!

I love the pinks and greens, especially against the snow background.
