I love it! I know your Dad will love it and give you many hugs for it. Thank you for sharing with us. Just wanted to let you know I am making a musical quilt now as well. I am using your idea and pattern for the piano key border on it. It is D9P block made in blue musical instrument blocks with white on black and black on white musical notes. We'll see how it turns out! If half as beautiful as yours will be happy! Congratulate your Dad on his 80th! Thanks again, Bootsie

Your quilt label is an awesome idea. I never would have thought to use the...thingie that you stitch cross stitches on. I am sorry but the name escapes me. It is sad since I do cross stitch too. Anyways, I think it is a great idea because I hand stitch my quilt labels and I worry that nobody can read my stitch letterings.

I wrote with blue marking pen first then stitch over.
