My daughter was a music major in college, and I wanted to do a music quilt for her. I love this one, especially the fabric with the choir! So many music fabrics have instruments on them. I think your quilt is perfect--if he doesn't like it, send it to me!

Your music quilt it awesome! Congratulations to your son. I've just completed a music quilt for my son who was 46 on the third. He has kept up his music. I high school he played drums, then began guitar -- taught himself along with a few lessons; played in the church teen choir. He has later gotten back to playing with a group as a hobby. They play for charity benefits and small group functions. I wish I could post a picture. The top is Warm Wishes with a focus fabrics of many musical instruments and the striped blocks in black, red, and beige. The backing is red music staff fabric on which I put a diagonal bar of blocks from the front and tw large black silouettes of his own guitars appliqued. The label (which isn't applied yet) will be a large music note. I made it couch size, but he has put it on his bed. He told me one day he has the top up and the next day he shows the back. Is he proud or what??!

Your fabrics are spectacular. I've never seen those.

Wow! Gail, your quilt sounds awesome. I sure would like to see a picture. Maybe your son will let you borrow it long enough to get a picture. My grandson will get his quilt on the 18th for his 18th birthday. I am so excited to see his face.
