I'm not making a quilt. These are the blocks that go to Moda and Moda will make quilts for the soldiers from the blocks they receive from "everyone". There's a few people on the board here making blocks.

I made my first Moda Just One Star block, THEN re-read the front page that states cream background and I used white so I will follow the directions and do more the "Right" way
For anyone who isn't aware of this project here's the link to Moda's request.

What size did your block come out to be? Mine is 10.25" before trimming - which is an odd size.

I can see why they picked this block though, it will be easy to trim all the blocks to the same size when they get them in. Pretty clever of them.

I'm SO on board with this! I sent it off to two local quilting groups, and since I live with a Vietnam veteran I am proud to be part of this project.

I was a caregiver for a WWII veteran so this project is special to me. And my husband is a Korean era vet.

Those are very nice blocks. I plan to make a couple of those to send for a worthy cause! Anyone doing them needs to be sure to not trim before you send them. That is written in the instructions for making the block! This will be my project for today!! Better get busy I guess!
