Hey Pam!! I got an Elna Supermatic (1956) a couple of months ago, but haven't been able to sew with it yet. It is running very, very slow. I almost got the same model you got, but after bidding on a couple and not getting them, I decided on the Supermatic instead. Don't you LOVE the green color???

jljack. Try oiling it again. Mine was slow until I oiled the flywheel. Do you have a manual? Did you get cams with yours? Mine does not take cams and is straight stitch only.
