It's beautiful! What a bargain, I'm glad it found a home where it's appreciated. Makes you wonder about the woman who made it, doesn't it? I guess there's no label?

No i know nothing of the original owner. I hope if she is still alive she doesn't know her family sold it like so much trash and if she isn't alive I hope she knows my family loves it. No lable.

Please tell me what you soaked it in. I assume it was yellowed. I found some at my Dad's house that are heirlooms and I want to finish them. There were some already finished. Congratualtions of your find.

It was filthy. I just soaked it in laundry detergent and some color safe bleach. I also put Oxyclean in a few tubs. I changed the water every day of two for several weeks.
