    Really, really love it. I think the "empty" spaces really make the whole composition work. This one needs to be displayed on a wall.

    It was so fast to cut. They are really easy. Everyone should try one. I took longer to put the hexagons together because I didn't read the book! Maxine says to just piece them with the straight of the grain on the outside edges. Then you work with what you get. I had to arrange and rearrange each one until I got the pattern I wanted. It took a while to lay out because my kids kept running past my design wall. As you can see, it is at the foot of the stairs leading into the family room. Ugh. You have to use a pin to hold the halves of the hexes together while you plan, but I had to start using the top pin to pin them to the flannel. I was gonna get arrested if I didn't! LOL! In fact, when I posted the pic here, my 13yr old son said, "Hey! I recognize that quilt!" He should. He was the worst about running by my wall. It's a good thing I love him so!!
