This is my first attempt at paper piecing and I learned a lot working on this project.

What a great quilt! I see these bird small quilts every time we stop to eat at this restaurant in Kalona. It is a quilt town. They are an Amish tourist area and quilts are their marketing focus. So the owner of the restaurant hangs quilts on the wall and changes them some from time to time. I always wanted to try one of the birds! I have looked at it a lot every time we go in there!

I love what you did! The goose in the bottom corner is really neat! I have never seen a goose included with the smaller song birds!

I love your wall hanging. You certainly don't make it look as if it's your first PP project. PP I find really rewarding -keep it up
I'm sure you are going to find it slightly compulsive - I do.

Thanks everyone, glad you can't see all the boo boos but it was a real learning experience. I can't wait to make the quilt using Jette's book. Feathered Friends.

Theese birds were also my first paper-piecing. I found them on the net before Jodie Davis published them. Later they were removed. That wa the way I learned to make patterns. A very beautifulquilt. Im looking forward to see what you will make with my birds :D :D

Beautiful! I don't know why paper piecing is such a bugaboo with me. It gives me new white hairs every time I need to do things that way.
