    Learned how to sew onm one of those. Belonged to my Granny. Would give anything to have it now, but when we moved form MI to FL in 64, we just left it in the basement. Momma said we didn't have room for it in the trailer and it was so old anyway. 20-20 hindsight!

    Both my Grandmother and Aunt on my Mom's side used a treadle right up thru the 1960's....I have no idea what happened to both those machines....I was so lucky to find such a nice one.

    The vintage site is collecting birthdates of machines with a copper plate. I'm not sure why. Why don't you post her there. Type "vintage sit" in the search box and just 'reply'.
