Well, its been a couple weeks since I have scored a great fabric find, but last week I hit a great garage sale. I have been really avoiding them because....well... I am a collector of so many things that I can really over do it.
But I did tell myself this summer that if I went to a garage sale, it would be one that is "on" my route to where ever I was driving. I wasn't going to look in the paper for them.

So the first pic of fabric is from a sale that I drove by... and I was charged $2.00 for this piece of David textile fabric. It is wonderful quality and I knew it was worth $2.00, but didnt realize how much was really there...When I got it home there were 10 yards! Plus a 1/2 yd piece.
The second picture is of a partially finished quilt that was in a bag at the Goodwill store for $3.00. Very nice current fabrics all done in gold, tan and blacks. There are partially sewn pieces and a big part that is already sewn together.... it is just beautiful. Plus there was a huge piece of black, beautiful backing from Buggy Barn...say that 10 times fast!
I am such a Happy Camper over these finds, I wanted to share my joy with all of you!
I'm glad fall is here so I can sew, sew, sew!

You sound like me! I've actually been making lists before I go as to what I'm looking for and trying very hard to stick to it. LOL sometimes I even succeed!!! Congratulations, looks like you got some great buys. I did too this past weekend---great finds, a little money, and a good time for all.

    Red Garnet,
Wow... what are the wonderful canned goods in your avatar?
Is it a salsa of some sort? I got a pressure canner for my birthday last year, and need to learn how to use the thing!

WoW! That partially made quilt is just beautiful! I wonder why anyone would just toss it in a Goodwill bag. I envy you finding it, and I know whoever started it would be SO happy to know that a loving quilter rescued it, and is giving it a good home. 8-)

It's funny. I don't have the time anymore to go to garage sales, but I still enjoy seeing the hauls that other people make! You did fantastically well!
