Thank you so much everyone! I love coming here and sharing. You all are the very best! I'm having trouble finding many applique patterns for free on the internet, so I have been looking up coloring book patterns for future projects. I found a ton of printable patterns, very cute and some quite complicated like the hummingbird and flowers. Just something to look forward to. :-D :-D

Absolutely beautiful S. I love the way you pick up on a new technique, find something REALLY difficult to start with then pull it off with style! Wonderful job! FMQ here you come. Re the background, I generally stipple behind applique like this to make it pop. Soooo FMQ, like I said! LOL

Awesome! It's great when an idea comes together. You'll do great with the FMQ, just find a practice piece and start in. I have found that making the dog placemats for her bowls is a great way to practice.
