Default My 83 yr old mom's quilts

My mom is making quilts for all of her granddaughters. She loves doing applique and they all are or will be hand quilted. Here are a few of them.

All I gotta say is God bless her for loving the craft and her grandkids and for passing on the love of it to you. Her work is beautiful. I'm sure your very proud of her.

Those are so beautiful. I would have loved something like this from my grandmother.

I love the story behind these beautiful quilts. Just how many in all will she have to hand quilt - to me, that's a monumental task? My mom is also 83 and she, too, is trying to leave a legacy of embroidered tablecloths to my kids. It makes me smile and cry all at the same time. Life goes by too quickly. Thanks for sharing!!!
