Thanks so much for the compliments. I didn't use a pattern, just found a picture & kind of copied it. It didn't look like a puzzle to me so I ordered the puzzle fabric from the US (even with exchange and shipping, the fabric can end up a lot cheaper than Canadian, sometimes). I tried the meandering quilting, enjoyed that too but it doesn't look that great close up!

You did a great job! I too love the border, it really sets it off!

What did you do, cut squares and piece them?

yes, they are 2 1/2 inch squares and it had to be pre-planned, usually I just wing it with colours (so far the colour choosing is the hardest for me & doesn't seem to be getting any easier, I wander around & then give up & leave). I also don't have a real stash yet, either and can't figure out how to go about that, either! Lots of learning to do with this hobby/addiction but learning better from this forum than any books I've read yet! So, again, thanks and I will be picking everybody's brain for a long while yet!

I am so glad that I took a moment to look at the board tonight. Your quilt is terrific. The puzzle fabric for the border adds the extra touch of class!!

Thanks for sharing................ :D

I always have a hard time coming up with "boys" quilt patterns. This is great and so colorful - I may just copy your ideas!
