What a brave lady to make any quilt pattern that has triangles in silk fabric! It's beautiful, it just glows. Did you think about using silk batting?
I have silk sitting here now to do a pattern that is nothing but squares and rectangles. I also have a special thread and needle and lightweight fusible fusible interfacing. All I need is the courage to take that first step.

I love that block. So many variations from it. Yours is a good choice. I saw one made in blues, greens and white. Gorgeous!

Take that first step. You won't be disappointed. I've made three silk quilts now and love them all. The first one was made because my son keep asking me for a silk quilt. I thought he was crazy at first, but I've changed my mind now.
I did look into silk batting, but decided on the bamboo for a few reasons. It worked well for me. I do all my own quilting at home on my Bernina and didn't have any trouble.
Good Luck to you and please post your work when you can.
