My Batik Quilt
#61
I LOVE your quilt! So bright & cheery. Have seen several like this but don't know the pattern name. What is it, please?? Have a large stash of batiks & could really whittle it down w/this pattern. Thank you.

It's gorgeous. The wonderful thing about batiks and hand-died fabrics is that you can get many different looks and patterns from the same fabaric. I love the quilt and since you say you have more fabric, I would simply add more blocks and maybe a narrow border with piano key fabrics and maybe another border. Any way you finish it, it will be beautiful.

Thank you all very much for all the lovely comments and advice.
Several have asked about the pattern. It is called "Asain Scrappy Road". It was in the Oct 2011 issue of Quilter's World Magazine.
I've got to check the amount of fabric I have left and make sure I have as much as I think I do. I've decided to make more blocks and aim for king size. I'll use wider strips for the inside border and the outer border and that will help plus I like the idea of the piano key border and hope to use that too. I'm glad it is a fun quilt to work on.
I'll post a picture after I get the top done.
Have a nice day. Shirley
