The blocks are called maple leaves...I just put a bunch together & scattered them randomly. I am bummed that afew of the stems ended up together but I'll get over it, right? I was torn between making the corner blocks the rust leaves on the yellow background or this way. I decided that there was enough going on and kept the border quieter. LOL, there's nothing quiet about this quilt. :P

Beautiful job and can't wait to see it quilted. When I look at all this accomplishments, I have to say to myself, I have soooooooooo much to learn as a new quilter. Will I ever be this good? Just being on this website gives me inspiration. Thanks all.

I love the border, so impressionistic as it contrasts with the geometric design of the leaves on the face of the quilt. I think you did a great job with using that bright color green in the face of the quilt top with the border. Thankyou for posting it as I truly enjoyed./ Lissa Tonik
