WOW!! That is quite a quilt -- stunning! It must have taken a lot of planning to keep that pattern straight.

Well, one border was 1/4" too long - sooooo, I took the border and sewed two of the tiny stripes in the op-art border together. The border finished out the perfect size.

Both patterns are my own - I've posted a tutorial on the Op-Art. The avatar quilt was drafted to look like an 1830 quilt in the Univ. Neb. Lincoln quilt collection - I worked from a photo (with permission) about 3" square.

I've made myself blind trying to match the checkered board fabric at corners - can't imagine having to match all the fabrics you've done! You are either insane, masochistic, or tenacious! Kudos to you for creating such a stunning quilt. Thanks for sharing.
The bad news is - time flies.

Well, I'll admit to be slightly loco occasionally, but I'm also a Virgo - so, I wouldn't give in. The border wasn't that hard to match at the corners since it was a perfectly square design. Only problem I had was the quilt was 1/4" shorter on one side so I had to shorten one border without losing the design.
