    What type of thread did you use? It looks thicker than embroidery floss?

    On the redwork, I used Premium Sulky, Heavy 12 Weight, Mecerized Cotton. It comes on spools and is wonderful for hand embroidery and doesn't knot or tangle like DMC. But it can also be used in the machine. It can be difficult to find, but I believe Hancocks of Paducah still carries it. I used a special redwork color.
