Default My Christmas tree

This is the first quilt I have shared here - hope it is up to the board standard. Finished it Sunday night and hanging on the door to the kitchen:

I drafted the pattern myself and used the Sizzix isosceles triangle die to cut the triangles and half triangles. I had some issues with the accuracy of the die and have contacted Sizzix regarding this. They replaced the die but sadly it too does not result in a 4 1/2" square block unless it is cut down to size.
I FMQ on DSM using Madeira thread. I've added some star shaped shell buttons to hang small decorations from. The hanging is 24"x32"
This is the back that shows the quilting better:

I am pleased how it has turned out despite my frustration with the die and all the testing I went through to get it to work for me.

Oh that's so pretty! Please feel free to share everything you make, there are no quilt police here and we love to see everyone's projects!

I really like the background, the 2 shades instead of a solid. Please share when you have your next quilt done. We love any and all.

Please never fear about "standards". I just love to look at pictures. That is so pretty. I am glad that you overcame the challenges and have such a pretty wall hanging. Keep sharing.

I love your Christmas tree! It is beautiful and so creative. Please never be hesitant to show your work. None of us are perfect and we learn so much from each other. You see, I would never have thought to quilt each triangle as its own tree and branches, but you did and just may have inspired someone else on this board.

Great job - we love looking at pictures, at least I do. I still haven't been able to quilt holly - I have a break in my head when I try.
