I've responded to a few ads here and there ( crasigslist/freecycle, etc) and have a gottena few nice things.. but more often than not, I get a load of crap.... old, dirty, worn out clothes that have been cut up, usually double knit...     I think you have some velvets, too! You have a totally new stash to play with now. I think her mother would have enjoyed seeing your excitement over the fabric and knowing that you would be making quilts.

    I am so happy for you. It's so sad to think how this daughter didn't understand the value of the fabrics. I hope she treated her mother with love. You enjoy what you got, and hope you keep the quilt top and get it finished. Her mom would love knowing a quilter has it.
