What a true labour of Love and Passion. Something that will still be wowed over in 50 years plus. You should definitely put the start and finish date on the label on the back. Will show to future generations who maybe are not quilters, to realise just how much time and work went into it.
I can understand why it would never leave. You couldn't put that much work and love into any item and not want it to be passed down to your children. I know I would only be able to put that much of my life and be able to stitch true beauty into something for my own children.

Thanks for the lovely compliments! You are all a great inspiration to me to get this crazy done. I am nearly done just embroidering a few more seams. In fact its the last seam of joining the 2 sections together. Its so hot here at the moment we are into temps above 40*C and its very difficult to work with the crazy quilt on my lap.

I have taken a picture of the whole quilt lying at my feet, busy with the last joining seam embroidery. It feels amazing having all 25 blocks together. I feel uhm rich and special to have something like this done by myself for my family to enjoy many years from now. Will be having a show soon. Also added a picture of when I stitched the 2 large pieces together. Still unreal for me after working at this for over 3 years now.

You have inspired me to finish my crazy quilt that my mom started as she sat in the hospital while my dad recieved his cancer treatments several yrs ago. I get it out once in awhile, but just put it away. Hope mine looks as good as yours or at least comes close...Thanks for sharing
