I am just putting the stitching and embellishments onto the blocks and will layer it when all done...

Well thanks so much...with all these nice comments it really inspires me to get to it and finish this one up...hopeing to find nice wide cotton lace for the outside edge rather than binding...

That would finish it off nicely. I did that years ago on a lap quilt I did for my husband's grandmother who was in a nursing home and she loved it.
