Connie, that Hopi basket is gorgeous. I see that I have to google wedge ruler, it's obviously a secret weapon because that looks like a really intricate pattern to me.

The Mexican Star is by Southwind Designs at Southwindquilts.com
It is done by folding squares on the diagonal and peeling them back. This quilt could be done by a beginner.
Hopi Basket uses a special ruler that was over $25. I did use a 50% coupon to purchase it. DH says the Hopi 'Basket is his fave of these 3.

Hopi Basket is another easy quilt to make. You simply make strip sets and cut them with the special ruller and sew them together. The pattern just appears! It is all in sewing very accurate and straight seams while making the strip sets. A friend of mine has made 5 of them and won't do any thing hard. My next prject will be a baby quilt. I am glad you all enjoyed the pics. I love looking at everyones pics of quilts. I get a lot of ideas and help here.
