Decided I needed a cutting table but did not want to go through added expense.
I already had a folding table and had a friend who added bed risers to hers so I went to the Thrift Store and bought some and did the same thing. It really works!!!!
juat a suggestion for others who have linited space or do not want to buy a table for cutting only :-D

What a great idea. I've been trying to come up with something to use in my sewing room and I think now I'm going to Sams and check out some tables. Thanks. That's why I get on here everyday to get the good ideas!

I use the same thing for my a table in my sewing room that I use for ironing and pinning quilts, and it's great. Just this morning DH an I put a table on the risers in the laundry room and now I have a convenient place to fold clothes. I'm sure I'll find other uses for it, too.

I did the same thing to my cutting table, which is also a folding table. It really makes a difference in how my back feels. I can cut for a long time now and not have that achy feeling. Thanks for sharing.

You can also use plastic "freebie" cups turned upside down for a quick fix. Had my husband "build" blocks for my table years ago. He just glued pieces of 2x4's together until he got the height right. Really saves the back.

Where can you purchase red risers? I know you were lucky to find them at a Thrift Store.

I love my bed risers too. I did the same thing with my table. Makes the perfect height for cutting and saves that back! I got my risers at the Dollar General store. You might also try there. I lucked out.....mine were on clearance! :-)
