Great quilt for a man, I really like the nine patch alternating blocks too.

I like that quilt for a man, great colors, and nicely done!

I like it and the best part is how much he treasures something you made especially for him. That must make you feel so proud of your work.

It certainly does. I'm always making things and with the exception of crocheting him a hat and scarf he's never been all that interested in any of my crafts, since they weren't very masculine. So to know how much he loves his quilt is a wonderful feeling.

Of course now my mom is hinting that she would like one. I'm collecting 2" squares to make her a postage stamp quilt. I've got about 500 and I'm always trading when I do workshops or see quilting friends, but trying to get 1120 different fabric prints is not as easy as I first thought. But I just keep collecting away in hopes that I'll eventually have enough.

Your dad sounds like a hoot! :) That's a great quilt, and it sounds like he really enjoys it!

Great pattern and fabrics! Really well balanced and the eye moves over the whole top. I think the nine patches are a great partner for the stars, and the sashing is just the right touch. Good job!

Awww isn't it nice to see Dad with his blankie. I would feel so blessed if I had a dad to make a quilt for. I really like your work and to have it handquilted is to die for.[love handquilted quilts] Mary

He is proud, too! I don't blame him for not wanting to share. Sure does make your heart swell, doesn't it??
