My dad's Christmas Quilt, 'storm at sea'
#1
I did a simplified storm at sea for my dad's Christmas gift, it's simplified in that I cheated and made it half the size it was originally going to be because I've run out of time!!!
I think I'm going to buy some more red to do a solid border all the way around, and that will be the end of it, I'm so sick of working on this one!! My basement is litterally covered in little scraps that I have to sweep up and put in the garbage, I haven't the time or the patience to sort through and keep scraps.
I have this awesome red orange and yellow guitar print flannel for the backing... I just have to find it. I realize I have exactly two days to finish this thing quilted and everything. I HATE waiting till the last minute!

This is a beautiful pattern, one I have wanted to try, but haven't found time yet. I have heard it is a difficult (or frustrating) pattern to do. Is it because of matching all the points, or what makes it frustrating??
Beatiful quilt and work, by the way!!!!!

That's beautiful! I attempted to make this pattern and got it off of quilterscache. I didn't realize that one of the paper pieced pattern pages didn't print out at 100%. I had to put a hold on it but it is still on my list!
