Beautiful quilt and fantastic team work. She really has an eye for color and your two made great memories together in the making of this quilt. Nice quilting too

Wow, she did fantastic with picking out her colors for that quilt. That quilt will be fond memories for a lifetime. Your quilting is terrific. Y'all make a great team!

I just went and watched the video by Jenny Doan at MSQC and I am thinking you must have added some sashing in between the pieces in each block. What size did you cut your sashing as I really like the way you separated your pieces. It looks so much nicer with the sashing. Could you please share what size you cut your sashing?

Jordan, the pattern I have calls for sashing at 2.5 inches. It’s basically a sashed 9 patch made with 10 inch squares that you slice apart and turn the pieces. Here is the link to the pattern on their site - https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop...-missouri-star.

Thank you everyone for your kind words! Her color selection was a precut packed of 10 inch squares but it’s a start! She already has the quilting bug in a way. She wants to help me quilt and likes to hold my prices/blocks as they are guided through my machine (with hands far away from the needle, of course). She has been asking for a toy sewing machine lately after I told her I saved my old one for her when she gets older.

She sure is! She loves it so much she took it to bed last night and brought it for our visit to a friend’s house today.

Sounds like she might wind up being our youngest member on The Quilting Board soon.
