My DH just sold his late mother's house. He was walking through to make sure it was empty, opened a closet and found a bag. When he opened the bag, this quilt was in the bag! I don't know how we missed it.
His grandma was a quilter. He says he is pretty sure she made it with the help of his babysitter (she was 80 something years old) in the 50's.
I know that one square contains fabric from his baby blanket. He is 55.
There is no label  I wish I knew more about it.
The quilt is 82x102 and all hand quilted. The quilting in the boarder looks almost like a bowtie.
Any help you can give dating it or the pattern would be much appreciated.
    Please label your quilts.

Sorry, I can't help with dates or pattern, just wanted to tell you how beautiful your quilt is. What a find. Now I'll make sure ALL my quilts have proper labels.

Wow, can't help you but I will say what a great find!!! I can't believe that was almost lost. I'm a real sentimentalist for things like that and would love to have something like that to pass down through the family. It's very pretty and a nice design.

    its beautiful.

you should make a label and put it on the back so that future generations will know who made it.
