When I was at my daughter's house today I started to sit down in her chair and noticed she had a quilt thrown over it. I ask in her if she went out and bought a quilt. I said, "I could have made this for you." She laughed and said, "Mom, you dummy, you made this one when you lived with us 20 years ago.
What? I did? We had a good laugh, but I don't remember making it, however, I do remember the material. Duh !

That is so funny, sounds like something I would do.

Funny!! I'd do the same. I notice that I remember all the fabrics in old quilts of my mom's that were clothes we all wore many years ago!

I used to crochet. Mom had a shawl I asked her about and she laughed. I made it for her 35 years ago. I don't remember making it.

My son had a model that had a really nice paint job on it. I told him it was really good, and asked where he had gotten it done. He looked at me like I was nuts for a couple seconds, and finally told me I had done it. Boy, did I feel foolish!

The quilt is beautiful. Don't feel bad. I went up to a friend and gave him a compliment on his embroidered shirt (hand embroidered). He said, Deb you dumb, you made it. It didn't regester at all and you know being hand done, I had spent a lot of time. Oh well. At least we are not alone
