    Default My "derecho" lap quilt

I finished sewing the binding on this lap quilt while we were without power for 4 days with 102 degree heat following the storms created by the derecho at the end of June. This was a kit and not my usual color pallet, but I am very pleased with it. I did add the small yellow inner border and used the yellow again for the binding instead of the burgundy binding that was provided.

I love the cream/yellow accents. Beautifully done. There is something about a porch, rocker and a quilt! Love it!!
