Beautiful quilt, but the colors are a little too light for my taste!

I'd have picked something with a bit more contrast, personally.

    ;-)

Isn't it amazing how a tread can develop a life of it's own. We have no picture but all can reminisce about Dick and Jane.

I have the fabric- several yards and I bought the collection of 6 Dick and Jane books with the fabric. I have no idea what to do with it yet or who will end up with it. Maybe for "future" grandchildren-- although at this point there is no hope of that.
Would love to see this quilt to see what was done with the fabric.
    Please post.

I dont know what is wrong with you people. I can see it clearly....LOOK JANE...SEE SPOT. SEE SPOT RUN. RUN SPOT RUN. LOOK MOTHER..SEE DICK. SEE DICK RUN. The quilt is absolutely perfect, not one mistake. Everything square, binding perfect, colors all go together. SIGH, I think I will publish a picture just like it so you can all ooooohhhhhh and ahhhhhhhhhhhh over it...cause if you see my work you would never do it lol.

Such a plot those books had...such suspense and so well written lol. Brings back lots of memories of learning to read.

I also collect Dick and Jane books. The favorite of my collection is a Dick and Jane Big Book with about 20 pages. My favorite teacher in grade school gave it to me when she retired after about 45 years of teaching. I have never had it appraised but it is priceless to me as the teacher who inspired me to become a teacher thought me special enough to see I have it.
