Just downloaded all her latest videos on these disappearing blocks. Am in the process of making the disappearing hourglass. My one question is since these blocks have so many seams is..............do you press the seams open, one direction or the other so as to nest the seams, twirl the seams in the middle on certain portions of the quilt or what? I nested the 1st couple of seams but the last one I had to press open and even then it didn't want to stay open for me. Just want to know how others are handling the bulky seams?

On the DHG and the DPW5 I pressed my seams to the dark side except the final center seam, that I pressed open.

I believe it's personal preference. Depends on the pattern for me.

I love your quilt. I will have to try this one as I like how assymetrical it all looks. I made one of the other disappearing pinwheel designs and loved it. This is one of those patterns that looks like it was a lot more work than it really is. Sometimes I like an easier pattern. I have found that over time the designs I choose keep getting more and more intricate.

It's beautiful! Right now I am doing her Patriotic Pinwheels on Point. Disappearing pinwheel in on my list! That and the Quatrefoil !
