Just went and bought a black backing for my Dresden Plate, I have never doen one before. WOW ! I hope mine turns out 1/2 as beautiful as this ! Just fantastic. Do you think the black will be OK ? I'm trying to be a good girl and deplete some of my stash of fabric, was size did you use for your pieces ?

Do you mean black to applique your plate on (or backing of the whole quilt)?? I think black with vibrant colors on the front would be awesome!!! What a great idea!!! I may try that, too!!! And "Oh, peshaw", your quilt will be AWESOME!

As for size -- I cut 3 1/2" strips -- and used the plastic Easy Dresden template.

Now - you have my creative juices going again!!! Hmmmmmmmmm

It's just beautiful! I love the green border - it just pulls all the colors together.
